It is with great regret that I announce the death of Sir R.C Mapakshi who lived for the betterment of Cinematography until his very last breath.
He was an excellent cinematographer and teacher.
He was passionate about his work.
He is the person who is responsible to get 70 MM to Kannada films industry, when he did cinematography for Sharavegadha Saradara in the year 1988.
I have lived with sir for more than a year. He was my local guardian in Bangalore.
People often found him very strict but he was very caring and loving.
I am short of words to express my feelings for the great loss.
May his soul rest in Peace.

I am very very sorry for you and for Didi. He was a good man and I am sorry that he had to die in so much pain and strife. let us hope he is now at peace and in a better place. Please do let didi know I send my love and condolences. Hope you are coping with this fine. *hugs*
