A beautiful vintage AirBnb home experience in Florence Italy

Every time I travel I do try and find beautiful and unique homes to live in because I love the extra dimension it adds to your travel experience.

While Airbnb has come to be known as the low-key, economical way to travel, it also boasts some seriously incredible, one-of-a-kind accommodations.

This beautifully appointed apartment in the middle of historical Florence just a next to The Central market (a great place to eat is upstairs there) also the Duomo and many sights.

I used it for three night during my stay last week while I was attending River to River Florence Film festival.

The apartment is in a palace which dates to the 1500s and has terracotta floors and ancient oak-beamed ceilings.

The whole place was very eclectic (bordering on the quirky) decoration, which I loved.
Just minus the two mannequins dressed and made to stand just next to the bed, it kept creeping me out as I was staying there alone and I kept feeling they kept watching me.

In daytime the bedroom had natural light through it’s two huge windows, I went in winter, so it used to get dark very early, but I would love to go back to the same house again in summer.
Same goes for the Florence itself, I am sure I would love it even more in summer as it tends to get very hot in Tuscany.
