India with DJI Mavic Air Drone in 4K (Palghar, Kelva and Maswan)

I spent 2 days traveling across the Kelva Beach, Palghar and the Maswan village in Maharashtra, India just to test my new DJI Mavic Air.
This time of the year these locations look very dry, but in monsoon it exactly opposite, it’s lush green and the dam is always overflowing, the river even floods sometimes.
I got the Drone in London just 3 weeks ago but as I live in central London I could not really fly it anywhere as it’s prohibited.
As I am here in India for 4 weeks I am making the most of flying the drone so I get used to flying it and also explore all the cool functions it comes with.

Shot in 4K with: DJI Mavic Air Drone and iPhone XS .

Locations: Kelva Beach, Kelva Fishing port, Palghar, Maswan village Surya Dam.

My Favourite Films of 2018

Happy Oscars Sunday!
2018 has been a fantastic year marked by megabudget superhero movies, to the littlest of indies.
From the big screen to streaming services, the year was good for cinema.
This year I had an excellent opportunity to produce a series of content for London Critics’ Circle Awards 2019 which was held on Jan. 20. 2019 at London’s Mayfair Hotel.
Here is a sizzle reel that showcases some of the best films of 2018.
It was great fun Editing it. Enjoy!

I haven’t seen all the Oscar nominated films this year including Roma and Vice, but here some of the movies that stood out for me.

Kaiser Wilhelm memorial church, Berlin

One of the places that made a great impression on me during my 1st trip to Berlin was Interior of the modern chapel at Kaiser Wilhelm memorial church.
During the Allied air-raids on Berlin on the night of 23rd November 1943, the old Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in the city centre was destroyed. The design for a replacement church by the architect Prof. Egon Eiermann surrounded the ruins of the old church tower with a new tower and a separate contemporary place of worship. the new church is made of concrete, steel and glass. The construction uses a double shell to give acoustic isolation from the busy traffic outside.

One of the most striking features is the extensive use of stained glass inspired by Chartres Cathedral and created by the French artist Gabriel Loire in Chartres. The new church and tower use 21,292 panes of stained glass. The Christ is suspended above the altar against the background of stained glass. The figure is the work of Munich sculptor Karl Hemmeter, and was created after the original more contemporary design by the church’s architect was rejected.

Sadly the new tower was under construction, so I didn’t get to see it from inside, but I am planning to visit soon in few months as Berlin has made a fantastic impression on me.

A beautiful vintage AirBnb home experience in Florence Italy

Every time I travel I do try and find beautiful and unique homes to live in because I love the extra dimension it adds to your travel experience.

While Airbnb has come to be known as the low-key, economical way to travel, it also boasts some seriously incredible, one-of-a-kind accommodations.

This beautifully appointed apartment in the middle of historical Florence just a next to The Central market (a great place to eat is upstairs there) also the Duomo and many sights.

I used it for three night during my stay last week while I was attending River to River Florence Film festival.

The apartment is in a palace which dates to the 1500s and has terracotta floors and ancient oak-beamed ceilings.

The whole place was very eclectic (bordering on the quirky) decoration, which I loved.
Just minus the two mannequins dressed and made to stand just next to the bed, it kept creeping me out as I was staying there alone and I kept feeling they kept watching me.

In daytime the bedroom had natural light through it’s two huge windows, I went in winter, so it used to get dark very early, but I would love to go back to the same house again in summer.
Same goes for the Florence itself, I am sure I would love it even more in summer as it tends to get very hot in Tuscany.

Netflix’s Bright 2017

Will Smith’s ‘Bright’ had its European premiere on Friday 15th December 2017 at BFI Southbank, London.

It is Netflix’s highest profile movie release in 2017 starring Will Smith, Joel Edgerton and Noomi Rapace.

Last year it was the Netflix’s controversial Okja which premiered at Cannes.

‘Bright’ is quite an essential movie for Netflix, as they are hoping it will help them attract more A-list talent to their film division.

The movie has some great action sequences, the overall acting was on point, but for me, Joel Edgerton who plays the Orc partner human cop (Will Smith) stood out to me. It was truly a fantastic performance.

The world they have created, where you see humans, orcs, elf’s and other magic folks leaving side by side is very much believable.

The movie also explores the cruel world of racial and social inequality, but I am not sure if it was executed properly.
Joel Edgerton’s character Orc cop is always racially oppressed by almost everyone in the film, but he absolutely has no voice.

The film will hit Netflix on December 22.
