Hey everyone, Mel and I have some super exciting news to share with you all! Our little bundle of joy has arrived, and we are absolutely over the moon!

Say hello to the newest member of our family, baby Ella Aguilar Sankhe, born on the 19th of April, 2023, in Lima, Peru.

Both mum and baby are doing amazing. Ella decided to make an early appearance (6 weeks early) and was kept in a neonatal care unit to gain weight, but she did incredibly well without any medical support. We couldn’t be prouder of our little Peanut!

We want to give a massive shoutout to all the fantastic staff at the hospital who took such great care of us, especially the lovely Dr. Erasmo Huertas Tacchino. We are so grateful for all the love and support we received from friends and family throughout the pregnancy. Mel handled everything so well. She never got cranky and always had a very clear idea of what we needed to do. she is such a kind soul. She will be a fantastic mom. I have a newfound respect for all the women after this experience.

I’ve been told that Ella looks exactly like me! Mel’s not too pleased about that, as she’s hoping Ella has some of her features too. (but seriously, the way Ella rolls her eyes, She’s definitely taking that after her mum!)

We named Ella after Ella Fitzgerald, the iconic American jazz singer known as the “First Lady of Song.” Alternatively, Ella means “Fairy maiden or goddess.”

Both Ella’s grandparents are over the moon with their brand-new granddaughter, and I can’t even begin to describe how much I’ve fallen in love all over again.

We can’t wait to create beautiful memories with Ella and watch her grow up into an incredible person.
